March 28, 2022  By Greta Chiu

Nominations are now open for Greenhouse Canada’s annual recognition awards.

For those under 40 years of age, the Top 4 Under 40 awards recognizes rising stars in the greenhouse sector. Nominees must work in greenhouse horticulture, related equipment and technology sectors, and/or allied trades, and be under 40 years of age by December 31, 2022.

Last year’s winners hailed from across the country, working in the greenhouse vegetable, floriculture and garden centre sectors.

The Grower of the Year award recognizes a greenhouse grower for their innovative thinking, hard work and a lifetime of dedication to their craft. Nominees must be actively involved in their operations. Previous winners include Ron Wray of Fernlea Flowers, Bert Mucci of Mucci Farms, and Adrian Kemper of Aldershot Greenhouses.

Created to celebrate horticulture and the budding young generation, nominations are often submitted by fellow growers, colleagues, or supervisors who wish to recognize the efforts of their peers.

Nominations close May 13, 2022. For details and nomination forms, go to greenhousecanada.com/awards.
