Syngenta and Beekenkamp join poinsettia portfolios
Syngenta Flowers and Beekenkamp Plants are bringing together their poinsettia portfolios and supply chains for the 2019 season.
This new partnership will offer growers and brokers a one-stop shop for poinsettias, says Scott Valentine, head of Syngenta Flowers in North America.
Based in Maasdijk, the Netherlands, family-owned Beekenkamp Plants produces pot and bedding plants, cutting-raised perennials and starting material for ornamental plants and vegetables. It’s part of the larger Beekenkamp Group, which produces over 2 billion young plants per year with more than 90 ha of greenhouses worldwide.
The initiative will allow their customer base to choose the varieties that best satisfy their needs, says Martijn Kuiper, sales manager of Beekenkamp North America.
