Mar. 5, 2012, Halifax — Sheridan Nurseries received two awards as part of the Canadian Nursery and Landscape Association's (CNLA) National Awards of Landscape Excellence program.
Sheridan Nurseries won the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Grower of the Year Award and the Chrysler Garden Centre Inspections Award.
The judging panel for this year's awards included industry and business experts, including growers, horticulturists, educators and related business professionals.
Sheridan Nurseries will now go on to represent Canadian growers in the Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) Grower of the Year award hosted in the Netherlands in September.
Growing more than 1,200 cultivars of perennials and hardy nursery stock on 350 hectares in Halton Hills, Ont., Sheridan Nurseries ships 1.8 million plants to markets across northeastern North America each year.
