July 6, 2012, Fenwick, Ont. — Research was the big winner at the 40th annual Flowers Canada (Ontario) – Cecil Delworth Golf Tournament, held at Peninsula Lakes Golf Club.

Award-winners included:

• Canadian Florist Magazine (Low Team Gross) — Brian Lofgren, Andy Welan, Chris Weirsma and Andrew Wood.
• Founders Trophy, donated by Tidy’s Flowers — Dave De Haan, Barrie Ogilvie, Doug Smith and John Edgar.
• Teleflora Canada (Ladies Closest to the Pin) — Judy Colley.
• Greenhouse Canada magazine (Men’s Closest to the Pin) — Jack Langelaan
• Flowers Canada Ontario (Ladies Longest Drive) — Eileen Pillitteri.
• Flowers Canada Ontario (Men’s Longest Drive) — Ryan Harder.
• Closest to the Restaurant, donated by Martin Farms — Ben Helder.
• Closest to the Wand, donated by Dramm Corporation — Barrie Ogilvie.
• Most Honest Team (prizes donated by Paul Boers) — Eileen Pillitteri, Nadia Lamanna, Christina Lamanna and Molly Horton.
• Chip n’ Win top prize donated by Investors Group (golf bag) — Shane Ritzema.
• 50/50 draw — John Slaman Greenhouses won the prize, $377.50, and donated it to Delworth.
• Dinghy Shot (accuracy) — John Edgar.
Raffle prize winners included Sean Chiki (FCC prize of a first aid kit); John Slaman Greenhouses, (Horticolor Canada prize of Blue Jays tickets; and David Neal (RLB prize of an iPad).
