Canada Blooms was a truly glamourous affair this year. From the red carpet treatment to post-award pool parties, the movie-themed event featured some of Canada’s most talented floral designers and landscape architects while paying homage to the silver screen’s greatest films.

Now in its 22nd year, Canada Blooms was founded by Landscape Ontario and the Garden Club of Toronto. Taking place the at Enercare Centre in Toronto, it’s one of Canada’s largest celebrations of gardening and horticulture.

Feature gardens included Canada’s Highway of Heroes Living Tribute, a Japanese-themed “Samurai” garden and an elegant poolside affair ready for an Oscars after party. A small greenhouse was found in the romantic “Midnight in Paris”, stunningly presented with decorative lights.

Small garden spaces were not to be missed either. A stroll down the perimeter of the venue saw elegant and whimsical designs inspired by familiar films, including Alice in Wonderland.

And if these stunning visuals weren’t enough, talks by industry professionals were scheduled throughout the event, sharing tips with visitors on all aspects of gardening and floral presentation.
