Feb. 4, 2016, San Antonio, TX — Pure Hothouse Foods Inc. is announcing a significant milestone in its supply chain transformation, with the new fully operational 60,000-square-foot distribution centre here.
“The expansion was initiated in response to an increase in business activity in the southern region,” said CFO Jeff Moracci.
“Our improved supply chain and delivery capability will significantly enhance our operational efficiency and reduce food miles by providing shorter travel time and a better capability of handling with products coming from our Mexico operations.”
In other company news, the multi-phase greenhouse expansion built near the company headquarters in Leamington is expected to be harvesting as early as spring 2016 to support the company growth.
