Valleybrook Gardens is leading a horticultural tour through South Africa this October, and they’re inviting participants.

“South Africa has innovative and interesting garden centers, an amazing diversity of plant life, beautiful gardens and scenery and outstanding wildlife experiences, making this an perfect destination for business and pleasure,” says John Schroeder, president of the nursery.

Having led several tours before, this will be their fourth return trip.

“We will visit a number of retailers and growers, some exceptional private gardens and the world renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in beautiful Cape Town,” says Schroeder. “Business owners on previous tours have been able to implement marketing ideas learned at the garden centers back home to considerable benefit. Of course, the three-day safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that ends up being the most memorable part of this trip.”

These tours are non-profit, adds Schroeder. “It's just a fun way to indulge our love of travel with the opportunity to expand our own business through learning new things. Our groups are small, typically around 16 participants.”

The tour will run from October 17 to October 29, 2019. For more information, contact Schroeder at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
