Moleaer Inc., manufacturer of industrial-scale nanobubble generators, announces the addition of Michiel de Jong as director of business development of Europe & horticulture.

De Jong has worked in the past as sales manager for Oreon, a leading horticulture LED manufacturer.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Michiel’s experience join our organization,” said Nick Dyner, chief executive officer of Moleaer. “Michiel will help us develop the European horticulture market, which is critical to Moleaer’s growth and success.”

Moleaer develops industrial scale nanobubble generators applied in a wide range of processes including indoor farming. According to their website, nanobubbles are small gas bubbles less than or equal to 700 nm in diameter. With little to no buoyancy, these bubbles can remain suspended in liquid for months at a time. Their small size also leads to better gas-to-liquid transfer rates compared to microbubbles (10 to 30 microns in diameter). For hydroponic production, this helps maximize oxygen saturation in the water, allowing for more oxygen absorption from the roots. Other benefits include activating beneficial bacterial around the rootzone, improving root structure and preventing root asphyxiation.

“Like lighting, oxygen is a crucial element to every grower’s success,” said De Jong. “Moleaer nanobubble generators are robust and highly efficient and the company has already proven their leading role in research, product development and marketing. I look forward to introducing the benefits of Moleaer’s nanobubble technology to growers to help them increase production yields and reduce costs.”
