During the live, 50-minute webinar, LumiGrow CEO Kevin Wells will relate best practices for specifying and implementing LED lighting for floral production.

Rob O’Hara and Jarratt Tunstall, head growers for British Columbia-based Rainbow Greenhouses and New York-based Barnes Greenhouses, respectively, will relate their experiences in incorporating LED lighting into their operations.

Intended for experienced flower growers and greenhouse operational managers seeking to improve crop quality and financial performance, this webinar will also address technical considerations involved in selecting, installing and fine-tuning LED lighting both in high intensity discharge (HID) lighting retrofit and new installation scenarios.

RAINBOW GREENHOUSES

The high costs of operating HID lights drove the Rainbow Greenhouses team to evaluate LED fixtures. Since installing LumiGrow LED luminaires in early 2013, Rainbow, a leading potted plant producer, is on track to reduce lighting-related energy consumption by 60 per cent and achieve ROI within two years.

BARNES GREENHOUSES

Webinar attendees will learn how Barnes Greenhouses, a leading wholesale supplier of liners and plugs including Vinca and vernalized perennials, secured a utility-sponsored energy-efficiency grant to help fund the purchase of LumiGrow LED lights. Under LumiGrow fixtures, the Barnes team is producing thriving cuttings while increasing productivity.
