Lambert celebrates 90th year
Long-time peat-moss and growing-mix producer Lambert recently celebrated their 90th anniversary.

First started in 1928 by Francois Xavier Lambert, the company has since expanded beyond its original, still-active location in Rivière-Ouelle, QC to include peat bogs along the North shore of the St. Lawrence River and near Lac St. Jean. Multiple generations of the Lambert family are still involved in the business today.

Keeping up with the evolving industry, Lambert’s peat mosses are OMRI certified for organic production. They also distribute all over North America, with exports to many other areas of the world.

Committed to sustainable harvest of peat moss, Lambert is a member of the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association and gained VeriFlora Certified Peatland Products certification, a sign of responsible peat production, environment and ecosystem protection, social responsibility and produce quality.
