June 12, 2013, St. Catharines, Ont. — Impatiens production has declined this year, a reflection of downy mildew problems some growers have encountered.

Want to know the latest on downy mildew, and how is the industry responding? A session at next week’s Greenhouse Canada Grower Day will have answers to these and related questions.

Grower Day will be held at the Holiday Inn Parkway Conference Centre in St. Catharines. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the speaker program begins at 9.

Other topics include a discussion of the role of biofungicides in your IPM program, the latest on water management technologies and systems, a discussion of environmental control strategies, and a review of some of the eye-catchers at this year’s California Spring Trials.

The day also includes a trade show with more than 30 participating companies, along with networking opportunities ... and a great lunch!
