Global applicants called for Dutch cannabis class

February 11, 2019  By Greenhouse Canada

A new two-week intensive cannabis production course has just been introduced, and they’re looking for applicants.

To be held in the Netherlands, this interdisciplinary program invites applications from around the world, selecting only 15 applicants to learn about a wide range of topics, including production-related issues, improving crop yield and quality, and other tools of the trade.

In addition to visiting Dutch horticultural producers, participants will also attend GreenTech, one of the largest horticultural technology tradeshows to date.

Organized by Jungle Talks, these Mastercourses are meant for horticultural managers. Similar courses have been previously organized for floriculture and vegetable producers, with attendees from Mexico, Germany, The Netherlands, China, South Africa, USA, Poland, Australia, Colombia, Brazil and Vietnam.

“We want to compile a group of participants coming from various countries, so they can exchange knowledge and experience and learn from each other,” says course organizers.

Eligible applicants must be (or about to be) active in the cannabis industry and currently hold a management position within a licenced cannabis production company. Applications must be received by March 22, 2019. Participation fees for selected participants will be €2,500, excluding travel costs and lodging, but inclusive of other major expenses. Organizers estimate lodging costs at €2,000 for 13 nights (€150 per night).
