GGS heading cannabis sessions at CanWest

September 27, 2017  By Nour Doumani GGS

Sept. 26, 2017, Abbotsford, B.C. – An increasing number of growers in traditional horticultural markets are looking into the burgeoning cannabis industry and deciding whether or not they want to take part.

Some 20.7 per cent of North American greenhouse growers say they are either already planning on growing cannabis or plan to investigate growing it in the next few years, according to a 2017 survey conducted by Greenhouse Grower magazine.

With the promise of legal recreational marijuana in Canada by July 2018, greenhouse growers who are already equipped with crop growing knowledge are now educating themselves on both the profit potential and the considerations that need to be made in order to compete in the ever-expanding cannabis market.
