White and silver are colours often used at Christmas because this is a winter holiday when ice and snow are so prevalent. Many kinds of flower bulbs in pots are available in white.
Good examples are Ranunculus, hyacinths and tulips. In a nice matching pot accompanied by white ornaments, they make a pretty picture in a shallow container.
