Ag Energy turns 30
Formed in 1988 by vegetable and flower greenhouse growers, the co-operative was first created as a means to increase their natural gas purchasing power. Today, membership to Ag Energy is open to all businesses in the agri-food sectors, including food processors, dairy farms, wineries, cannabis growers and ethanol production facilities. Plus, they now offer electricity and different pricing options, continuing to meet their members’ needs while upholding their core values of contribution, caring and collaboration between members, consumers and stakeholders.
“Thank you to everyone who made this success possible,” says Ag Energy.
The co-op reaches approximately 6000 employees with annual revenues exceeding $2 billion. 90% of the revenues remain in Canada.
