November 7, 2014  By Dave Harrison

Nov. 7, Aalsmeer, the Netherlands — This week’s FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer attracted over 14,000 visitors, about the same as last year’s turnout.

Approximately 750 exhibitors presented their company and products, including around 460 plant growers, 180 flower growers, 50 breeders and another 50 companies presenting products with “added value.”

Organizers said the mood was upbeat, with a lot of enthusiasm and industry optimism by growers and suppliers.

At the centre of the 22,000-square-metre fair was The Village with the theme, “Delivering Happiness.” The Village looked at how consumers will buy their flowers and plants in the future.
