Feb. 24, 2017, St. Catharines, Ont. – Berger and Specialties Robert Legault hosted their 24th annual Grower Appreciation Night on Wednesday.
More than 120 growers attended the event hosted at the Holiday Inn Convention Centre in St. Catharines.
It was an evening of celebration and of reminiscing.
Both teams paid tribute to the more than 35 years of partnership of the two companies and acknowledged they are now merging into one big family. Claudin Berger, a co-president on Berger’s board, presented Robert Legault with a commemorative plate in recognition of their many years of working together.
Earlier this year, Berger announced its acquisition of SRL. The agreement reinforced the long-standing business relationship between the two companies – Specialties Robert Legault was until 2016 the exclusive distributor of Berger products in Canada for more than 36 years.

EDUCATIONAL SESSION
Berger’s senior grower advisor Brian Cantin, well known in the industry for his in-depth horticultural knowledge, opened the event with a technical seminar titled “Improve Your Margins with NF Wood.”
After the seminar, growers enjoyed a reception followed by a dinner.
Berger and Specialties Robert Legault representatives thanked the growers for their trust and faith in Berger products.
Several growers won a free pallet of Berger products, including European Planters, Westland Greenhouses, Seaway Farms and Vermeer’s Greenhouses.
“Berger is really grateful to serve Canadian professional growers with a high-quality product and a very specialized and dedicated team,” said a company spokesperson.
