New Varieties

1. Calla ‘neon amour’
Produces wavy blooms of sizzling pink to vibrant red, colours that intensify with age. An excellent specimen for containers.  Lift and store bulbs for winter.  Blooms July-Sept., 40 cm.

2. Delphinium ‘starmaker’

3. Echinacea ‘Jade’
An excellent addition to the Echinacea lovers’ pallet, its bright white petals are set off around a green cone. (Darwin PlantSpotters)

4. Geranium ‘confetti’
Amazingly unique new shades adorn this perennial Geranium. Pink blooms float above green foliage with splashes of cream and dark-green speckles. Has a nice low spreading habit and the colour is best on new growth. Spread some confetti in your garden. Zones 2-9.  Blooms May-Aug., 20 cm. (Van Noort Bulb Co.)

5. Malva sylvestris ‘Zabrina’
The very tropical appearance of these Mallow make them a must for the perennial border. The pure white flowers are striped with dark, wine-purple flames. They bloom throughout the summer, an old country garden favourite. Zones 3-9.  Blooms June-Sept., 80 cm. (Van Noort Bulb Co.)
