Hagie Manufacturing Company has introduced a high-clearance, self-propelled sprayer, the Hagie GHS, for greenhouses. The unit has an enclosed operator’s cab and a 150-gallon solution tank.
It is also equipped with an electronic spray rate controller, and
features zero-turn steering, extendable spray booms and a high-pressure
solution pump. The narrow width of the machine makes it capable of
being driven between rows and through some doorways. The company is
also studying changing it from a wheeled machine to tracks to improve
its manoeuvrability.
Hagie is the oldest manufacturer of self-propelled crop sprayers,
introducing the world’s first sprayer in 1947 and beginning worldwide
sales in 1955.
