April 14, 2011 – Bursting with fresh web design that complements the company’s unique plant styling, Selecta announces the launch of its new website, www.selectanorthamerica.com. Visitors to this online resource for North American customers will first notice its fun new look and vibrant color. Then they’ll soon uncover streamlined and easy functionality, and access to in-demand information.

“At Selecta, we’re all about delivering first-class genetics with ease of production for our customers. At the same time, we’re meeting the demands of the contemporary gardener. This new website illustrates these goals,” says Monique Hakkert, Product Marketing Manger for Selecta “The site’s seamless integration of fun and function will have visitors returning again and again.”

Some of the newly added tools found on selectanorthamerica.com include:

  • NewsFlash. Brief news updates from the Selecta Team will keep visitors in-the-know on topics that impact their business. To receive news faster, sign up for NewsFlash emails sent direct to your inbox.
  • Culture Details. Each Selecta variety has a menu of culture information right on its plant page. All details are available in a printer-friendly format for ease-of-use, documentation or sharing.
  • Virtual Catalog. The 2012 Selecta catalog is available now, and visitors can browse pages online. Embedded hyperlinks let you click-thru to additional information at the website, and a highly useful printing function lets you save, print or share pages in a snap.
  • Advance Search. An updated product search lets you browse by class, color and exposure. A printable “shopping list” of your search items is created at the click of a button.

In addition, a complete list of Root & Sell Stations is available in the “Where to buy” menu on the website. Visitors can choose suppliers for Selecta’s full lineup of spring plants, Poinsettias or the Trixi™ program.
