For regular visitors to the annual poinsettia trial open house in Ontario, this year marks a new location and new rules in light of COVID-19.
Set for November 26 to 27, 2020, the open house will be held at Cherry Creek Greenhouses. Approximately 130 different poinsettia trials will be on display, with participation from Beekenkamp, Dümmen Orange, Selecta, and Syngenta Flowers.
It’s important that attendees note the location change, says Melhem Sawaya, greenhouse consultant and organizer of the trials.
In light of COVID, visitors must also pre-register for a timeslot of their choice: 9:30AM to 12PM or 1:00PM to 3:30PM on either day. Visitors must wear masks and sanitize hands upon entry.
Differing from previous years, there will not be a speaker programme this time.
