Apr. 13, 2012 — Kichler Lighting has expanded its line of Design Pro LED hardscape, deck step and bench accent lights.
The lights are available in three new finishes to complement today's popular stone and deck colours. Perfect for illuminating retaining walls, columns, fences, bridges, decks, steps, handrails and a variety of other outdoor applications, these energy-efficient lights offer versatility, durability and easy installation.
"These new colours meet contractors' needs to efficiently light even the tightest spaces in a wider variety of stone and deck applications," said Jeffrey Dross, Kichler's corporate director of education and industry trends. "Additionally, they give homeowners the ambience desired for enjoying their outdoor living areas and the benefit of low maintenance."
New finish options include:

- Sand, ideal for sandstone, river rock and naturally-toned retaining walls or stone work, as well as light-coloured natural and composite decking.
- Grey, great for slate, charcoal and other heather-toned retaining walls or stone work, as well as clay, slate gray or smokey-coloured composite and finished natural decking.
- Textured white, for use with white or ivory stone, white privacy fences, lattices, decking and pergolas, as well as wood and vinyl.
The lights are available in three sizes — 6.9 inch, 12.9 inch and 18.9 inch — with three, six and nine individual LEDs. The lights are fully sealed and potted to resist moisture, and are made with outdoor-rated powder paint-coated die cast aluminum or die cast brass for maximum weather protection.
Kichler's hardscape lights offer a 40,000 hour lifespan and use 75 per cent less energy than incandescent lights.
