The deviation percentage in terms of weight between the plugs is less than seven per cent. The plug hardness is adjustable, allowing growers to determine the desired hardness for each batch.

Plug handling is also strongly improved, as the plugs are strong enough for tray fixing, transplanting and sorting. The well-known “revolving” or “butterfly” filling method has been replaced with an entirely new, unique technology. It makes it possible to fill the trays properly and homogenously, which used to be problematic in the past.

Using this new filling technology now makes it possible to fill the trays by width, which increases the capacity up to 40 per cent.
