bed has led to the discovery of a 50-year-old wedding ring.

May 24, 2012, Saskatoon — A little work on a Saskatoon garden perennial bed has led to the discovery of a 50-year-old wedding ring.

Colleen Christensen says she was moving some lilies last weekend when she found the ring entwined in the roots. The band has an engraving on it that says “J and J 8-9-62.”

Christensen has checked all the owners of her home dating back to 1970, but hasn’t found a match.

Her next step is to search through wedding announcements and marriage certificates from 1962.
