Nov. 3, 2016, Grassie, Ont. – Ron Berkhout has joined VRE Systems to help the company further develop the growing cannabis sector in North America.
Berkhout brings a wealth of experience in the horticulture industry, having spent the previous 14 years as the manager of Gavita Canada. Over the last six years, he has been focused on developing a network of thought leaders in the cannabis market. He has been instrumental in developing fixtures specifically designed to meet the needs of this emerging sector.
VRE Systems is now able to provide customers with both light deprivation and lighting fixtures to meet any of their lighting requirements.
With the addition of Berkhout, VRE Systems is now able to offer numerous solutions to the marketplace, including lighting, light deprivation and photo period control, as well as intentionally designed processing equipment such as drying racks and industry specific transportation systems.
“I am looking forward to taking the best of the best of the people that I have been friends with for years, and bringing all our experience and know how together,” said Berkhout.
Joe Shuker, VRE Systems’ director of sales and marketing, said Berkhout’s depth of knowledge coupled with his vast experience “will make him a key addition for VRE moving forward. We are excited to have him as part of the team, and we believe our customers will be the greatest beneficiary.”
