Landscape Ontario hands out Awards of Excellence

October 23, 2013, Toronto — The best of the best were honoured today when Landscape Ontario named the winners of the Awards of Excellence for garden centres and growers at the Garden and Floral Expo 2013.

The awards, which were presented at the Destination Inspiration Theatre, were created by Landscape Ontario to recognize the retailers who have been deemed “excellent" and the growers of the “best” plant material.

“We are lucky in Ontario to have an incredibly strong green industry, with companies and people who go that extra distance to add a little panache to a backyard redesign or innovation to the plants they grow,” said Denis Flanagan, Landscape Ontario's director of public relations and membership. “It is always a tough challenge to select the winners of our Awards of Excellence, but this year’s winners are certainly deserving of our appreciation for the effort, workmanship, quality and commitment they put into making nurseries and garden centres better than great.”
