International Garden Festival kicks off in Quebec

June 25, 2012  By Canadian Garden Centre & Nursery

June 25, 2012, Grand-Metis, QC — Twenty-six gardens are on display at the 13th International Garden Festival at Les jardins de Metis/Reford Gardens in eastern Quebec.

Designed by 64 landscape architects, architects and artists from Canada, Australia, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, the gardens illustrate the extraordinary originality they bring to renewing the art of the garden.

The designs for conceptual gardens were chosen from 158 projects submitted to the jury after an international call for proposals. Extra-mural gardens were exhibited in London, England, as part of the inaugural edition of the new Chelsea Fringe Festival, and will be presented in Montreal, Mont-Joli, and Sainte-Flavie this summer.
