March 7, 2013, Exeter, Ont. — It is with profound sadness that his
family announces the sudden passing of Leonard Michael Veri, March 1,
2013, while on vacation in Japan, in his 76th year.

Beloved husband and best friend of Noel Veri for 54 years.

Dear father of Jim Veri and Carla Findlay-Desrochers of London, Michele and Ray Horlings of Bradford and Michael and Lynn Veri of Exeter. 

Dear grandfather of Ashley and Myron Veri; Tyler and Ryan Horlings; Joel and Kyle Veri and step-grandfather of Bradley and Blake Desrochers. 

Dear brother and brother-in-law of Don Veri, Frank and Anne Veri and Victor Veri all of Hamilton, Kathy and Eric Raab of Grimsby; Sharon and Doug Shepherd of Ingersoll and Kelly and Gary McNichol of Winthrop. Predeceased by his brother Albert Veri and sister-in-law Louise Veri.

Len was a voice of confidence and reason and always had a way of making you feel good about yourself when speaking with you.

He was a man with a huge personality and a prominent business figure and played an integral role in shaping the town of Exeter. He was the president of Exeter Produce and Veri Hydroponics for nearly 55 years and various other companies over the years.

Arrangements remain incomplete at this time and are entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter.

With updated information regarding, Len’s return to Canada, the Veri family is hoping to have visitation and a funeral mid-week. These arrangements will remain unconfirmed until late Monday afternoon (March 11).  

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, MS Society or the South Huron Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
