This summer Loblaws became one of the first major retailers to recycle
pots and flats in Canada. Prior to the announcement the company worked
to make its pots from over 50 per cent post-consumer recycled plastic.

Starting this year, customers were invited to return their rinsed pots,
flats and even plastic tags to its garden centre between May and July.
Through these efforts, Loblaws hopes to divert up to 600,000 kgs of
plastic from landfills or approximately three million pots and flats.
