Home Hardware Stores Limited has welcomed three new members to the Québec family, totalling over 135 stores in the province,.
“We are proud to welcome three new stores to the Home Hardware family,” said Mario Durocher, Director, Retail Operations Québec, Home Hardware Stores Limited. “We pride ourselves in helping our Québec stores ‘keep up the momentum’ through exceptional programs and resources.”
The three stores that have joined the Home Hardware banner include:
- L’Acadien Bricoleur – Gentilly, Québec (Home Hardware Building Centre)
- Matériaux Manic – Baie Comeau, Québec (Home Hardware Building Centre)
- Centre de Renovation Saint-Paulin – Saint-Paulin, Québec (Home Hardware)
“Success in retail is about finding the right people who will deliver the right customer service experience,” said Luc Martin, Senior Business Development Manager, Home Hardware Stores Limited. “In addition to our national footprint, these stores represent our commitment to better serving the industry.”
L’Acadien Bricoleur opened a fifth location in Gentilly, Québec. In 2019, the Gentilly market was left without a hardware/building center location following the closing of the local Rona store. Dealer-Owner, Jean-Claude Parr was committed to serving the local community, so he secured a building which is now the new Centre de Rénovation Home Hardware. L’Acadien Bricoleur Gentilly operates with a sales area of 7,600 sq. ft. and 15,000 sq. ft. of LBM drive thru warehouse. Featuring an impressive selection of products and services, customers can shop lumber and building materials, kitchen and bath, lighting, renovation and design.
Baie Comeau, Québec
Michel Charette and his wife Élise Caron are opening their second location, Matériaux Marquette, in Baie Comeau. After joining the Home Hardware family only a few months ago, Michel and Élise seized the opportunity to reopen a former Rona location in the Marquette area. This 5,000 sq. ft. store will feature a full assortment of product lines under the Centre de Rénovation Home Hardware banner. The new store will undergo some major renovations and will reopen in mid-September.
Dominic Crête and Dany Garand have converted their former ACE hardware store to the Home Hardware banner. After buying this 50-year-old business in 2014, these two young entrepreneurs felt it was time to take advantage of Home’s wide range of products and total commitment to the independent Dealer. This 4,600 sq. ft. store will take on Home’s branding within the next few months as they remain open for business.
