Highrise ‘greenhouse factories’ researched in Asia

Heating and cooling energy for a multi-level greenhouse research project in South Korea is partly being supplied by geothermal and solar systems.
Scientists are also determining the optimum light wavelength for growing different kinds of plant in these ‘vertical farms,’ which many are hopeful will provide for much of the country’s future food needs.
