Havecon North America Inc. is building their new headquarters in St. Catharines, Ont.

“Year after year, we have seen steady growth in the North American market. Not long after we opened the first office, we realized that we had to continue to move forward and keep growing to meeting the needs and the demand of our customers and the market,” says Vice President Jon Adams.

The Netherlands-based greenhouse builder opened their first North American sales office in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont. in 2018.

“We have been searching for the ideal property for the past year and a half. And suddenly there it was: an eight hectare parcel of land located in St Catharines, currently being used as a vineyard,” continues Adams. “Here in the heart of Niagara we will be able to expand and grow. We will have a great spot right off the QEW…within one hour of Toronto.”

The new office is expected to provide greater and faster service for customers, both new builds and repair jobs, says, PR & marketing manager William Boxman. Once the new office and service area/warehouse are ready, Havecon will be leaving the Niagara-on-the-Lake office.

According to Havecon, the purchase of the property and the expansion makes them one of the largest North American-based horticultural companies.

“But,” founder Henk Verbakel emphasizes, “being one of the biggest will never mean we lose sight of the core element we are so passionate about: the satisfaction and loyalty of our valued customers.”
