Following up on the article published in Greenhouse Canada in February 2022 (https://www.greenhousecanada.com/test-and-release-grower-quality-assurance-of-biocontrol-agents/), Vineland has recently produced two new videos to help growers quality check their incoming biocontrol agents. These videos add to the existing library found on the GreenhouseIPM YouTube channel, and demonstrate how to conduct quality assessment tests for common insect biocontrol products. A booklet with all grower QC methods can be found here: https://www.vinelandresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Grower-Guide.pdf

In the new videos, Vineland’s biological control laboratory demonstrates QC methods for common parasitic wasp products (loose and on cards), and predatory mites and insects.
