Jan. 28, 2014 — The Grodan Group is kicking off 45th anniversary celebrations with the launch of its new website.
The new GRODAN web site is available in English, Dutch and Polish and is primarily a source of information for growers, horticultural consultants and educational institutes.
It also offers Precision Growing information and support via a dedicated Precision Growing section. This section can also be directly approached via the www.precisiongrowing.com link and offers information on Precision Growing practices, innovations and events.
The new website contains a section focusing on sustainable horticulture.
ESTABLISHED IN 1969
The Rockwool Group, the parent company of the Grodan Group, experimented with cultivation on stonewool substrate in search of an alternative for soil and launched the Grodan Group in 1969.
Stonewool substrate cultivation turned out to be an ideal solution at a time when many objections were being raised regarding the exhaustion of arable land.
Not only did Grodan products replace soil, crops also proved to grow extremely well on this growing medium, significantly increasing crop yield, but also decreasing water and nutrient usage.
Grodan will continue to have a strong focus on innovation in the future, further developing its Precision Growing solutions which enable closed cultivation systems and ensure that water, nutrients, energy and space are used in the most efficient and effective way possible.
