January 28, 2015  By Dave Harrison

Jan. 28, 2015, Amsterdam — The first GreenTech Summit will be hosted June 9 at the RAI Covention Centre.

This exclusive conference for industry leaders will discuss the theme: “What’s next for Green Horticulture?” The invitation-only event will be held every two years, alternating with the biennial GreenTech trade show.

Summit attendance is by “invitation-only.” The 250 delegates will be invited by around 30 sponsors and join other key players, captains of industry and trendsetters whose presence is vital to the industry and will be invited by Amsterdam RAI.

Building on the success of GreenTech exhibition, the Summit program will feature leaders, innovators, influencers and trendwatchers from around the world and a small area showcasing solutions.

Both the Summit and trade show are organised in close co-operation with the trade associations AVAG and Fedecom.

“With the GreenTech trade show being organized biannually, we saw a great opening for a get-together of industry leaders as June is a month in which many do business in the Netherlands,” said Summit manager Mariska Dreschler.

“With this Summit we aim to facilitate global knowledge sharing and create the most fertile soil for ideas and co-operations, leaving all delegates filled with inspiration.”

The summit will look at the challenges in horticulture from different angles. Crossovers to other (technological) industries will be highlighted as well as the latest trends and developments in horticultural technology and production. Additionally, delegates will be invited to take part in various social and networking events.

Under the umbrella theme “What’s next for Green Horticulture,” the conference will examine the current world challenges in terms of food security and well-being. Renowned keynote speakers will share their views in order to motivate and inspire delegates to find sustainable solutions for the future.
