May 8, 2014, Amsterdam — Five leading breeders will participate next month in what's described as the first greenhouse vegetable trials program to be hosted in the Netherlands.

Taking part individually will be Rijk Zwaan, Enza Zaden, Bayer CropScience, Westland Seeds and Eminent Seeds.

Featured will be their newest and best-selling varieties. Each company has its own demonstration greenhouses in the Westland area, showing visitors pre-commercial and commercial varieties and giving expert advice on the best crop for every situation.

“With five breeding companies participating, the Vegetable Trials provide added value to Dutch horticulture, to the GreenTech exhibition, for the companies themselves, and especially for the visitor,” said spokesperson and co-organizer Maurice Wubben.

Pre-registration is required at www.vegetabletrials.nl.

GreenTech organizers expect to welcome over 10,000 horticulture and floriculture professionals from around the world.

It will be held in Amsterdam RAI. Admission is free for industry professionals with online pre-registration .
