Feb. 26, 2014, Toronto — Ontario Pavilion attendees at this year’s Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA) Trade Show, hosted at the Direct Energy Centre from March 2-4, 2014, will have an opportunity to learn more about the good things that are grown, made, and harvested in Ontario.

The Pavilion, organized and facilitated by Ontariofresh.ca, with support from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food, brings together thousands of industry professionals under one roof and showcases the best the province has to offer in local food.

The Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers association will be among the Ontario exhibitors. In total, the show features 1,200 booths.

“From fruits and vegetables to craft beer, meats and more, the Ontario Pavilion is your one-stop shop for all your local needs,” said Megan Hunter, communications and program manager for Ontariofresh.ca.

“Each year we see an increase in the demand for local food and beverage from both the consumer and, in turn, chefs and restaurants. With more than 40 exhibitors, we’re here to help those in foodservice source a diverse range of local, high-quality products.”

Among interactive sessions will be a panel discussion led by chefs Brad Long and Joshna Maharaj discussing the benefits of sourcing food locally.

Attracting 13,000 visitors in three days, the CRFA Show is Canada’s biggest foodservice event.
