Greenhouse drive-by sale sells 2,500 ferns in six hours

The last weekend of April saw a three-kilometre lineup of vehicles at a Grand Bend greenhouse, with people queuing for an unlikely product: a Boston fern.
Within six hours, staff at Westland Greenhouses Garden Centre sold 2,500 plants, reports CBC News.
“It was very overwhelming,” said Anita VanAdrichem, who owns the greenhouse south of Grand Bend with her husband Paul. The lineup began an hour before the sale began, and throughout the morning people waited up to 90 minutes for their chance to buy a fern. | READ MORE
