Oct. 24, 2012, Edmonton — The Edmonton Capital Region hosted this year’s
edition of the Communities in Bloom national awards ceremonies.

Oct. 24, 2012, Edmonton — The Edmonton Capital Region hosted this year’s edition of the Communities in Bloom national awards ceremonies.

CIB is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement and the challenge of a national program, with a focus on the promotion of green spaces in community settings.
 
National award winners include:

• Up to 1,200 — Appleton, N.L.

• 1,201 to 3,000 — Beausejour, Man.

• 3,001 to 6,500 — Jasper, Alta.

• 6,501 to 10,000 — Castlegar, B.C.

• 10,011 to 20,000 — Lambton Shores, Ont.

• 20,001 to 50,000 — Fort Erie, Ont.

• Over 50,001 — Granby, Que.

• Canadian Forces Sustainable Communities — CFB Borden, Ont.
