Oct. 24, 2012, Downers Grove, IL — The National Garden Bureau will promote gerbera, wildflowers and watermelon within its 2013 gardening promotion campaign.

The NGB selects crops that are easy to grow and genetically diverse with a lot of new varieties to choose from. Breeders, growers, brokers and garden centres should consider these flowers and plants when planning for the 2013 season as the publicity generated from this program is substantial.

National Garden Bureau has photos of numerous varieties of all three crops, provided by our members. NGB also provides PDFs of fact sheets, flyers, handouts, and signage, etc. All can be downloaded at no charge from the NGB website. These tools will help garden retailers promote the crops to consumers and encourage gardening with these specific crop classes.

There is also a SlideShare presentation downloadable at http://www.slideshare.net/nationalgardenbureau.

Consumer publicity will begin in January 2013.
