Genap Canada to begin production in early 2023

Historically, these products have been shipped from the Netherlands to Canada. With increases in both transportation costs and shipping times and increasing demand for the products in North America, it was clear that a manufacturing facility was needed in Canada.

In 2022, that need was realized through the opening of Genap Canada Inc., located in Chatham-Kent, Ontario. With its central location, products can be shipped easily and efficiently all across Canada and the United States. Not only will this international partnership bring quality products to the local market, but it will also bring years of expertise and specialized services.

“Water storage is becoming more and more essential in the horticulture sector. With increasing costs and issues with the supply chain that we see everywhere, Genap has to be innovative to ensure the best solutions for our customers all around the world. Part of this includes the opening of joint ventures, just like the one in Canada. Canada has a strong horticulture market that is ever-growing and changing, and we are thrilled to offer customers our quality products at a local level,” said Dick van Regteren, Managing Director, Genap B.V.

Water Storage Products

Steel Tanks
The water tanks are long-lasting and easy to install. The steel plates are unique because of their ability to retain their shape and because of their mechanical tensile strength.

Tank Liners
All tanks are fitted with a watertight lining called Aquatex Supreme, which has been developed specifically for water storage in the Horticultural sector. It is available in a range of types and thicknesses, which is suitable for storing rainwater and recirculation water.

Reservoir Liners
These liners come in a range of shapes and materials for reservoirs and lagoons, which can be made to fit any size. Genap uses GPS-based technology that provides highly precise dimensions and positioning.

Covers
To prevent the growth of algae and evaporation, Genap Canada manufactures a wide range of cover options. It includes materials that have been specifically developed and which are suitable for storing water in countries with extreme climate conditions such as heat, cold, and high UV exposure. Covers are available for both tanks and reservoirs.
