
May 12, 2015, Aalsmeer, the Netherlands – Jan Eveleens is retiring as managing director of Florist Holland B.V. after nearly 40 years of service, effective June 1.
Eveleens will continue as a member of the board of directors of the Royal Hilverda Group and will be appointed as supervisory board member to Florist Holland.
During Eveleens’ administration, the company has grown from a gerbera nursery to an innovative breeding company, serving a large international market. It is involved in a joint venture KF Bioplants and its propagation laboratory in India, and also has a sales office in North America.
“Florist Holland is well positioned for substantial growth, in which we acknowledge Eveleens’ large contribution, his vision and leadership skills and his commitment to excellence,” said Jan Hilverda, director of the Royal Hilverda Group.
Commercial director Melchior Moen, who has been with the company for 14 years, has been named the new managing director.
