expanding its distribution centre that will almost double the size of
the company’s headquarters.
Feb. 4, 2013, Kingsville, Ont. — Mastronardi Produce Ltd. is currently expanding its distribution centre that will almost double the size of the company’s headquarters.
The increase in space at the primary Canadian location is related to the company adding over an additional 100 greenhouse acres in Ontario alone for 2013.
“Our gourmet greenhouse tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and specialty items continue to be in high demand and with this acreage, we will fulfill the needs of our key partners throughout North America,” said company president Paul Mastronardi.
“The new addition also includes automation to improve packing and distribution efficiencies.”
The 72,000-square-foot expansion is expected to be completed by summer.
