Entrepreneurial award for industry veterans

March 1, 2016, Niagara Falls, Ont. — Two veteran greenhouse specialists received the 2015 Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Technological Entrepreneur category.

Al van den Ende and Mike Galenkamp are the owners of iSPECS Inc. and ACROBATic Controls Inc., and team members of the Acrobat Project group of companies. This group of companies undertakes engineering, design, manufacturing, installation and services for automation systems in the North American greenhouse industry.

Established in 1994, the Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Awards recognizes enterprising people whose entrepreneurial businesses have made significant differences in the community.

The Awards gala dinner is attended annually by 500 guests, and remains a high-profile achievement within the Niagara community.
