Renewable greenhouses being constructed at schools

This high school near Ottawa has built a greenhouse that involves the use of renewable energy. More and more schools are building greenhouses to be used as learning environments and to showcase efficiency and renewable energy options.
Last week, a greenhouse classroom was opened at Gisèle-Lalonde High School in Ottawa, part of an energy and environmental learning project to remember a student who died of cancer. The project includes wind and solar energy. See more here or here.
A geodesic dome greenhouse powered with solar panels and a wind turbine is part of the ‘Green Energy Academy’ program at Bloomfield Tech high school in New Jersey. Students in the program have received hands-on training to prepare them for careers in sustainable energy.
Ponderosa High in Flagstaff, Arizona also has a student-run greenhouse powered by wind and solar energy. A greenhouse also has been finished at a middle school in Victorville, California that will include a swamp cooler, heater and solar panels.
