Energy-wise expansion at Sundrop Farms

Sundrop Farms is located on the edge of the Australian Outback and employs desalination technology to run its greenhouse.
Sundrop Farms, in the state of South Australia, is a unique greenhouse operation on the cutting edge of energy management – and expansion is in the works.
Their new eight-hectare glass greenhouse will feature the most sophisticated temperature control technologies. Commercialization of their greenhouse technology, which includes their own solely solar-powered ‘thermal desalination’ plant design, is also moving forward.
Watch upcoming issues of Greenhouse Canada Magazine for a feature story on Sundrop farms - and its head grower, Ontario native David Pratt.
