Eastern Canadian growers have access to new technical and agronomic services

April 12, 2023  By Greenhouse Canada

April 12, 2023 – L’IQDHO, a non-profit technical consulting service, is expanding their services to cannabis growers to help support their cultivation activities. L’IQDHO has been providing this same support to eastern flower growers and nurseries since 1990. It was created for ornamental growers who needed agronomic services.

The L’IQDHO team is composed of biologists, agronomists, and technicians, aiming to assist growers in their day-to-day cultivation operations, such as scouting, IPM, pest control recommendations, irrigation, nutrition, troubleshooting, and R&D.

“There is a gap in the cannabis market as far as technical support to cannabis cultivation is concerned,” JP Fortin, l’IQDHO greenhouse and cannabis cultivation advisor, said in a press release.

With the cannabis market shifting toward the lowest production cost, many suppliers cut back on technical assistance, leaving growers with the information they can find on the web.

L’IQDHO’s services are now offered in Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
