Dutch Lighting Innovations expands

March 3, 2020  By Greenhouse Canada

Dutch Lighting Innovations is expanding. The Netherlands-based HPS and LED lighting supplier has announced the addition of new staff to their European team, plus a new warehouse in Aalsmeer. These changes will allow them to focus their existing resources on the North American market.

“DLI will be more streamlined and we can give better service to our customers in Canada,” says Pepijn Looijard, DLI’s co-founder and chief technician. “The first point of contact for the Canadian market is our agent Pete Hendriksen from CeeGreen. Now he can better relay questions to each person responsible for a task, [such as] light plans, spare parts, deliveries, trial setups for growers, [and] plant-specific LED light spectrum. This way we can offer even faster service to our customers.”

Joining the DLI team in Europe are Dennis Janmaat in sales, Jan Mulder in research and development and Pim van Eijk in purchasing and logistics.

A new warehouse will also be built in Aalsmeer, NL to streamline delivery and production “The main reason for our new warehouse in Aalsmeer is the large supply of fixtures needed for the North American market,” Looijard explains. “Canadian growers seem to love Dutch quality and we are very appreciative of the support we get. With our new warehouse, we’ll be able to hold larger stocks so we can provide shorter lead times.”
