Do you live on Canada’s prettiest garden street?

May 20, 2015  By Dave Harrison

May 20, 2015, Toronto – Canadians are being invited to help the Canadian Garden Council find the country’s best, prettiest and most beautiful garden street in a contest that celebrates the passion and dedication of gardeners.

If you think your street, or a street in your neighbourhood is an outstanding garden street, enter it in the “Canada’s Garden Street” Contest and let everyone in the country know how gardens – whether private or public – contribute to the quality of life on your street and in your neighbourhood.

The contest prize: $1,000 worth of Mark’s Choice Lawn and Garden Products from Home Hardware, the contest sponsors, and “bragging rights” of being named Canada’s Garden Street for 2015.

Entering the contest couldn’t be easier. Visit www.gardendays.ca and submit your 150-word entry and a photo of your outstanding street, road, avenue or lane. Deadline for entries is midnight EST, June 15, 2015.

The winner will be announced on www.gardendays.ca on June 19, Canada’s National Garden Day, and the first day of this year’s three-day Garden Days celebration.

The ‘Canada’s Garden Street’ Contest, supported by Communities in Bloom, is an acknowledgement of, and salute to, the dedication, hard work and aesthetic sensibilities of our country’s gardeners.

Brought to you by the Canadian Garden Council, Garden Days is a joyful, country-wide celebration of the vital role that gardens and gardening play in our communities and our lives.

Garden Days is supported by the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association and Communities in Bloom.
