Cultivate’16 – understanding The New Now

January 29, 2016  By Dave Harrison

Jan. 29, 2016, Columbus, OH — “The New Now” is the theme of Cultivate’16, being held July 9-12 in Columbus.

Registration opens on March 8.

Cultivate’16 will feature more than 120 educational sessions, an eight-acre trade show, and numerous networking events for all segments of the horticulture industry.

The New Now is about more than change – it’s rooted in the inherent values that have made the industry stand the test of time, and includes a passion for plants, tenacious enthusiasm for our jobs, determined perseverance, and the grit to dig in and succeed.

The New Now is the same values with different strategies. We’re seeing more and more that plants are reinventing their relevance in the lives of consumers, and we need to be right there with them.

The bottom line is the same: people and plants, and connecting the two with enthusiasm and passion. Whether you’re a supplier, landscaper, nursery or greenhouse grower, florist, interior plantscaper, garden retailer, researcher, student, or just all-around plant nerd, these roles are vital in the new realities of the industry.

Cultivate is hosted by AmericanHort. The association has been cultivating the industry for over 220 years, first as the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) and OFA – The Association of Horticulture Professionals, and today as the single leading association for all horticulture businesses across all spectrums of the industry.
